My best friend K happened to be in the SLC area the same time I was. There was much rejoicing when we realized this impeding alignment a few weeks ago. Her sister had baby #2 a few days before I arrived, and so I not only got to catch up with K, but also got to see brand new baby Q. Two things must be said: First, babies are so stinking tiny to me that they just seem unnatural. I hardly know what to do with one. And don't even get me started on how to handle one when it cries or squirms. But as uncomfortable as they make me, there is nothing so miraculous as a baby. Particularly one that has just been inside a womb. Second, K is my favorite. And I miss her every day.
